Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Deeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyell Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deeney comes to the cage accompanied by When We Ride. Kyell Gold acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Deeney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyell Gold! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deeney staying out of range there. Gold walks forward, straight into a front kick from Deeney. Gold shoots in but Deeney avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kyell Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gold looks to throw the jab but Deeney is out of range. Gold tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Deeney manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gold closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Deeney did well to prevent Gold getting side control. Gold is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Deeney reverses the position - he's now on top in Gold's guard. Deeney's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gold is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Deeney is aware though and is defending well. Gold has his foot on Deeney's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Deeney works his way back into a safe position though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Deeney gets to his feet - Gold follows without any prompting.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gold swings widly with a right hand
and Deeney counters with a nice leg kick. Gold tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Deeney manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gold throws a nice looking combination but Deeney bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Deeney keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Deeney defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gold. Mark Deeney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyell Gold. Nice body kick there by Deeney. Nice sprawl there from Deeney as Gold shoots in. Deeney thumps Gold with a low kick. Gold lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Deeney darts in and clinches Gold up against the cage. Deeney is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gold is trying to drag Deeney to the mat but Deeney just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Gold is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Deeney is defending well. Gold looks winded! Deeney gets underhooks to prevent Gold's takedown attempt.
Gold tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Deeney obliges. Deeney putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Gold in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Gold wants a takedown.
Gold goes for a takedown attempt but Deeney pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gold fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deeney throws a nice outside leg kick. Mark Deeney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Deeney. Gold shrugs it off though. Gold misses with a hook. Deeney ducked under it nicely. Gold on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Deeney. Deeney obviously looking to wear him down.
Gold will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gold fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Deeney chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Deeney looks to land a combination. Gold sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gold misses with a hook
and Deeney counters with a thumping low kick. Good leg kick by Deeney there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Deeney moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Deeney.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deeney lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Deeney fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gold, pushing him back against the cage. Gold's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Knees to the body from Deeney.
Deeney lands a knee to the body.
Deeney lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Deeney unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gold lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. A knee to the head by Deeney.
Gold is rocked! Deeney is defending well against a takedown attempt. Gold is still on wobbly legs! Can Deeney finish him? Gold has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Deeney after a bit of a struggle. Deeney has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Gold - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Deeney, and another! Gold is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Mark Deeney! Mark Deeney decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
