Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathin Q (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arjan Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arjan Haze will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nathin Q! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arjan Haze! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Q closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Q lands in his opponent's guard. Haze wants to sweep here but Q controlling him for the moment. Q connects with a couple of short punches. Haze escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Q gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Haze is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Q defends well. Haze being controlled here, momentarily. Haze looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Q trying to control the position from guard on top but Haze is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Haze working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Q doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Q manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Q is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Haze utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Q throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Haze works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Q trying to control the position from guard on top but Haze is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Haze has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Q can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Haze working a defensive guard here.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Q works his way back into a safe position though. Q throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Haze has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Q can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Q trying to control but Haze is working from the bottom. Q landing some decent shots from guard. Q got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haze has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Q has managed to get both his arms back between Haze's legs - danger averted. Haze looking for a guillotine here but Q defends easily.
Q stays in close to Haze's body and controls the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Q is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Q wants to control from the top but Haze keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Arjan Haze will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Haze misses with a takedown attempt enabling Q to counter with a crisp jab. Haze closes the distance and clinches up with Q, looking for a takedown. Haze pushes Q against the cage but Q circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Q drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Haze looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Haze has his foot on Q's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Q works his way back into a safe position though. Haze is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Q is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haze can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Q controls the pace. Q looking to sit in guard and control but Haze gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Nathin Q overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Q is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Q looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Haze is trying to maintain the position but Q is very close to passing his half guard. Q is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Haze defends it well. Haze looking for submissions off his back. Haze wants to control but Q is keeping busy and won't allow it. Q is trying to control. Haze wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Haze looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Q is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Q lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are battling for position here. Haze manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Haze throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Q's corner is telling him to maintain position. Q postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Q is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Haze has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Q is looking to defend but Haze has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Q! Haze pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Q taps out and this one is all over!

Arjan Haze opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
