Pencil has chosen Full Retard as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato moves into the clinch successfully.
Pencil breaks from the clinch.

Pencil escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kato tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pencil swivels and escapes.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pencil throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pencil stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Kato is breathing heavily.

Pencil pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pencil lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Pencil scores with a nice right hand.
Kato shoots in for a double leg but Pencil sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benzi Kato. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kato sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Pencil sends Kato crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pencil is motioning to the referee to let Kato up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pencil tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oh Kato is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Wooden Pencil! Wooden Pencil retains his super heavyweight title!
Wooden Pencil spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
