The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hagler lands a nice leg kick that just misses Schmukinphart's sensitive parts.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hagler.
Hagler connects with an inside leg kick.
Hagler throws a leg kick but Schmukinphart moved away.
Schmukinphart steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hagler. That one must have hurt.

Hagler feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Schmukinphart's calf.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Schmukinphart crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hagler - the referee stops the clock and Schmukinphart gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hagler. Schmukinphart manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Schmukinphart on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hagler fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Schmukinphart on the side of the head.

Hagler throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hagler feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Schmukinphart's calf.
Schmukinphart on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hagler fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Schmukinphart has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Hagler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Schmukinphart might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Hagler lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Schmukinphart crumples to the floor! Hagler milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
