Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Wageman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wageman's entrance music is Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy. A fine choice. Hughes has chosen Country Boy Can Survive as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Matt Hughes has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cameron Wageman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Hughes! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wageman lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Wageman displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Wageman throws a head kick that misses. Wageman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hughes tries to roll over but Wageman keeps him under control. Hughes strikes from the bottom but Wageman uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Hughes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hughes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hughes has his takedown stuffed and Wageman counters with a straight right hand. Hughes tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Wageman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wageman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hughes darts in trying to clinch and Wageman counters with a one-two to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nice takedown defense from Wageman. No joy for Hughes on that attempt. Wageman throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hughes's head. Hughes doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wageman counters with a leg kick. Cameron Wageman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Hughes. Wageman lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hughes backs up against the cage.
Hughes is rocked! Wageman circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Hughes drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Wageman follows Hughes to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cameron Wageman!
