And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Silva!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colbert lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Colbert throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Colbert goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Colbert misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Colbert momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva throws a nice outside leg kick.

Silva gets a double leg takedown into Colbert's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Silva showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Silva throws a big right hand that misses.
Silva stands and throws Colbert's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Silva throws an elbow but Colbert slips to the side and avoids it well.
Silva trying to control the action but Colbert is working from the bottom.
Colbert tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Colbert is defending well.
Colbert is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Colbert keeps working.
Silva postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Silva creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Colbert sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Colbert tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva controls the position.

Colbert is looking to reverse the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Silva is controlling Colbert's trapped leg to prevent Colbert from advancing to side control.
Colbert wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Silva uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Colbert got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Colbert has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

Colbert stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Silva moves out of range of the body kick from Colbert.
Colbert keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Colbert uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.
Colbert scores with a jab. Silva acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Colbert cracks Silva with an open hand slap.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Colbert is looking to slow Silva down with leg kicks.
Silva pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Silva misses with a low kick.
Colbert pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva misses with a shot to the body
and Colbert counters with a straight right hand.

Colbert cracks Silva with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Colbert has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Silva to stand back up!


Silva is rocked!
Silva misses with a wild body shot.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Colbert finish him?
Colbert drops Silva with a huge uppercut! Silva drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Colbert is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Colbert!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Cain Colbert waved his t-shirt featuring TFP Graphics - Pit Inc's logo in front of the cameras.
