Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darius Badolato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Paxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Badolato kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nneka - Heartbeat. The crowd seem to be enjoying Paxton's choice of entrance music: Advance Australia Fair. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paxton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Badolato shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paxton sprawls well. Paxton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Badolato gets slowly back to his feet.
Badolato lands a nice shot to the body.
Paxton lands with a straight right. Badolato didn't see that one coming.
Badolato steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Paxton.
Badolato tries to clinch up.
Badolato throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Paxton moves into the clinch successfully.
Badolato misses with a body punch.
A head punch on the inside from Badolato fails to land.
Badolato doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Paxton has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Paxton is looking to work some ground and pound but Badolato has wrist control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paxton distracts Badolato with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Paxton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Badolato works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Badolato is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Paxton defends well.
Badolato avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Badolato is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Badolato is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Badolato prevents Paxton from improving his position.
Paxton wants to get back to his feet.
Badolato content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Badolato thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Paxton's head.

Paxton is trying to get back to full guard.
Badolato passes to side control.
Badolato is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Paxton's shoulder. That is not cool.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Badolato tries to move to mount but Paxton blocks the move with his legs.
Paxton tries to improve position but can't.
Paxton looks to move to half guard but instead Badolato has passed into mount! Damn!
Badolato lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Paxton is in all sorts of trouble here.

Badolato working for a guillotine from mount but Paxton is in no mood to give up.
Paxton manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Badolato thows a huge punch but Paxton dodges it nicely.
Badolato works his foot free and advances to mount.
Badolato lands a heavy elbow.
Badolato has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
BOOM! Badolato connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Paxton is rocked!
Badolato is landing with some decent strikes but Paxton is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Paxton is still in real trouble! Can Badolato finish him?
Badolato tries to control but Paxton wriggling away.
Badolato looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Paxton covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

A very excited looking Darius Badolato made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
