Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Zmertin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Ungowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ungowa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Type O Negative - Black No. 1 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Yuri Zmertin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Zmertin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamal Ungowa!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ungowa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Zmertin on the side of the head.
Zmertin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ungowa tries to avoid it but Zmertin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ungowa to the ground. Ungowa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ungowa. That's going to slow Zmertin down.
Ungowa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zmertin.
Ungowa misses with a few strikes there.
Ungowa swinging wilding here.
Ungowa looks to throw the jab but Zmertin is out of range.
It looks like Yuri Zmertin has been cut.
Ungowa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ungowa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ungowa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zmertin drives through and clinches with Ungowa against the cage.
Ungowa tries to break the clinch but Zmertin is controlling the position.
Zmertin is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Ungowa is trying to break free.
Ungowa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ungowa stuffs the takedown.
Ungowa cracks Zmertin with an open hand slap.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Ungowa swinging wilding here.
Zmertin shoots in but Ungowa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Zmertin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Zmertin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ungowa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Zmertin has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Zmertin landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zmertin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ungowa, who protects the arm well.
Zmertin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ungowa taking punishment in the form of punches.
Zmertin in side control lands a decent elbow.
Ungowa manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ungowa throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ungowa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zmertin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Zmertin tries to roll over but Ungowa keeps him under control.
Ungowa is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ungowa seems to be looking for submissions.
Ungowa not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ungowa works his way into full mount!
Zmertin tries to reverse the position but Ungowa maintains control.
Zmertin is breathing heavily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ungowa cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ungowa is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Zmertin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Zmertin is rocked!
Yuri Zmertin's cut is getting worse.
Ungowa postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Zmertin badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Ungowa around the waist but Ungowa pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Ungowa is the winner by TKO! Ungowa jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jamal Ungowa!
