Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Armando Reyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andy Beserker! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Beserker. Reyes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Beserker is fending him off so far but Reyes persists. Nope, Beserker circles away and we're back to standing. Beserker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Beserker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reyes. Reyes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Beserker defends it nicely. Beserker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Reyes avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Beserker. Beserker advances to full mount. Beserker sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. BOOM! Beserker connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's one minute gone in the round. Beserker with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Beserker landing shots from mount. Beserker throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Reyes has his hands clasped together but Beserker breaks the hold and Reyes is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Beserker!
