Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikael Sadman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Palle Vitrikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikael Sadman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mikael Sadman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Palle Vitrikainen! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sadman stuffs the takedown attempt from Vitrikainen. Vitrikainen gets slowly back to his feet. Sadman misses with a takedown attempt and Sadman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Mikael Sadman has been cut. Sadman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Vitrikainen counters with a shoot takedown. Sadman fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sadman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vitrikainen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sadman throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vitrikainen chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sadman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vitrikainen's guard. Vitrikainen wants to sweep here but Sadman controlling him for the moment. Vitrikainen throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Sadman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vitrikainen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vitrikainen throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vitrikainen can do anything to dispel that myth. Vitrikainen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sadman's guard. Vitrikainen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sadman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vitrikainen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sadman is breathing heavily. Vitrikainen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sadman's head. Sadman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sadman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vitrikainen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Sadman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Vitrikainen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Vitrikainen scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sadman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sadman has momentary wrist control but Vitrikainen slips an elbow through the middle. Vitrikainen looking to pass the guard. Vitrikainen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Vitrikainen wants to control from the top but Sadman keeps moving. Sadman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sadman has a closed guard, preventing Vitrikainen from standing up. Sadman tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sadman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vitrikainen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vitrikainen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sadman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vitrikainen lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sadman tries for a takedown but Vitrikainen circles away easily and Vitrikainen counters with a single leg into guard. Sadman didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikael Sadman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vitrikainen trying to control but Sadman is working from the bottom. Vitrikainen preventing the sweep. Vitrikainen trying to control the position from guard on top but Sadman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sadman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Vitrikainen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sadman. Vitrikainen wants to control but Sadman is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sadman manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Sadman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sadman is working for a kimura but Vitrikainen is defending it quite comfortably.
Sadman prevents Vitrikainen from improving his position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sadman is looking for a kimura but Vitrikainen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sadman to get the leverage. Sadman wants to pass the guard but Vitrikainen is defending well. Sadman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Palle Vitrikainen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mikael Sadman's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Vitrikainen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sadman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vitrikainen won't be happy with that. Sadman advances to mount. Sadman fails to take his opponent's back. Vitrikainen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Vitrikainen looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Sadman is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Vitrikainen defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Palle Vitrikainen has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. You can see the frustration on Vitrikainen's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sadman has his arm under Vitrikainen's chin here. Game over son! Sadman squeezes tightly and Vitrikainen is forced to tap out!
