Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith dives in and grabs Gajo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gajo pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Smith moves into the clinch.

Gajo lands with a short shot to the head.
Smith manages to break the clinch.
Gajo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gajo gets slowly back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gajo shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Gajo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smith is defended easily by Gajo.
Gajo tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gajo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smith scrambles back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gajo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round but I would say that AkoSii Gajo will probably get the nod.

Gajo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Gajo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Smith shoots in for a takedown but Gajo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Smith throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gajo was covering up waiting for the punch and Smith finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Smith wants to pass the guard but Gajo is keeping the position.
Gajo wants to control the position but Smith says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Gajo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Smith is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Smith is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gajo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Smith is stalling here. Gajo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Smith seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gajo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kevin Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
