The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melcher on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Reaper.
Reaper keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Grim Reaper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reaper fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Melcher has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Reaper throws a sloppy head kick and Melcher moves out of range easily.
Melcher fails to land the takedown.
Reaper throws a head kick that Melcher semi-blocks.
It looks like Jon Melcher has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Melcher takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Reaper connects with an inside leg kick.
Melcher looks winded!
Reaper scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Reaper lands a leg kick that knocks Melcher off balance momentarily.
Melcher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Reaper buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Reaper lands a brutal head kick. Melcher looks out on his feet and Reaper throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
