The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Cony will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Thompson scores with a body shot.
Cony misses with a shot to the body
and Thompson counters with a nice kick to the body.
Thompson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Cony looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thompson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Thompson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Thompson feints and then cracks Cony's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cony down.
Thompson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Cony throws a left and a right that both miss
and Thompson counters with a stiff right hand.
Cony chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thompson can pounce on him.
Thompson feints and then cracks Cony's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cony down.
Cony takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Thompson lands with a straight right. Cony didn't see that one coming.
Cony should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thompson lands a big right hand that sends Cony crashing to the mat! Thompson stays standing though and waves Cony back to his feet!
Cony is rocked!

Thompson lands a nice looking kick to the body. Cony takes a step back to recover.
Cony is still on wobbly legs! Can Thompson finish him?
Thompson throws a shot to the body.
Cony seems to have recovered his senses.
Cony leaves his chin hanging out and Thompson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Cony crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
