The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shamrock looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Kilgore looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Shamrock seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Kilgore has recovered full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kilgore has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Shamrock should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kilgore has tightened it up now! Shamrock should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Dustin Kilgore! Dustin Kilgore seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
