Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dorian Worthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dorian Worthy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Harris! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Worthy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Harris sneaks back into half guard. Harris wants to improve his position but Worthy is controlling well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harris is on top in guard.

Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Harris throwing short punches from the bottom. Worthy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Worthy wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Worthy is breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Worthy shoots in but Harris avoids the takedown attempt easily. Worthy checks the leg kick nicely there.
Worthy shoots for a double leg takedown but Harris sprawls well. He's pushed Worthy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Harris loads up on a big right hand but Worthy slips the punch. Harris tries to bum rush Worthy with a series of wild strikes but Worthy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Paul Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harris gets a takedown into half guard. Harris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Worthy is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Good exchange - Harris coming out on top. Harris shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Harris throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Horrible takedown by Worthy or perhaps it was just good defense by Harris which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dorian Worthy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Harris lands a high kick!

Harris is looking to finish with some ground and pound! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Worthy wants to control his opponent's hands but Harris gets his hands free. Harris patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Worthy shoots in but no luck this time. Harris shoots and misses so Worthy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Harris has his foot on Worthy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Worthy works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harris has an active guard here but Worthy has managed to pass into half guard.

Harris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Worthy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Harris throwing short punches from the bottom. Worthy looking to pass the guard. Harris looking for a sweep. Not yet Harris, not yet.

Harris is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Worthy frees his head nicely. Oh but Harris has switched to an armbar! Worthy is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
