Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Oasis - The Hindu Times. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Smith takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Kevin Smith has been cut.
Williams pushes Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Williams dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Smith just leaning against Williams, taking a breather.
Smith is trying to push Williams away but Williams has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Williams comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
The referee calls for Williams to work.

Smith drags the fight down to the ground.

Williams wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Williams lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smith at a distance.

Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Williams! Smith is out on his feet! Williams rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Smith is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Smith is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Williams!
