These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kurt Orbiso!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Orbiso looking to score a takedown here. Blaze is defending well but Orbiso drives through and ends up in Blaze's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Blaze wants to improve his position but Orbiso is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No joy there for Orbiso, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Orbiso shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Orbiso maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Blaze could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Orbiso has cracked it and Blaze is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Orbiso!

After winning the bout, Kurt Orbiso thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
