29 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jean Sibelius! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salabim forces Sibelius back against the cage and clinches. Sibelius is trying to break the clinch but Salabim is controlling him. Sibelius looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sibelius blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Salabim has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sibelius is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sibelius working hard to break the clinch. Salabim tries to throw a body punch but Sibelius avoids it by throwing Salabim back against the cage. Sibelius wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. A slow jab from Sibelius misses its intended target. Salabim works over Sibelius's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Jean Sibelius has been cut. Sibelius fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Salabim on the side of the head. Salabim dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Salabim drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Salabim advances to half guard. Salabim misses with a head shot. Sibelius uses the momentum to regain guard. Salabim throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sibelius thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Salabim throws a big right hand that misses. Salabim has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Salabim missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Salabim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sibelius is keeping the position for now. Sibelius throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Sibelius preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salabim pushes down on Sibelius's leg and manages to get into half guard. Sibelius is in trouble now - Salabim has advanced to mount! Salabim landing shots from mount. Salabim looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Salabim wants to take his opponent's back but Sibelius doesn't allow it. Salabim trying to control but he's not successful this time. Salabim swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sibelius is now in Salabim's guard. A big mistake from Salabim there, giving up the dominant position! Sibelius throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salabim throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sibelius showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Sibelius content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sibelius controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sibelius missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sibelius is looking to work some ground and pound but Salabim has wrist control. Sibelius controlling from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Sibelius has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Salabim working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Sibelius has passed into half guard!

Sibelius wants to control but Salabim is keeping him busy. Sibelius goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Salabim has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sibelius but great work by Salabim. Salabim is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sibelius has escaped the position, nice work there. Sibelius gets back to half guard. Salabim wants to pass to mount but Sibelius is defending the position.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Sibelius is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Salabim's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Salabim's back! Sibelius loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Salabim hold on?

Sibelius tries to keep control of the position but Salabim is staying busy. Salabim is trying to remain composed but Sibelius is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Sibelius struggling to land strikes to the head as Salabim covers up.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Sibelius cracks Salabim with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Salabim from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Salabim is rocked! Sibelius connects with a couple of big shots that have Salabim covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Salabim! Sibelius fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
