Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bendrick Minnie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bendrick Minnie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimbo Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minnie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jenkins circles away.

Minnie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jenkins is trying to defend but Minnie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Minnie perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Minnie passes the guard and advances to mount!

Minnie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jenkins is surviving well by controlling Minnie's body position as best he can.
Minnie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jenkins tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Minnie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jenkins can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Minnie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Minnie looking to control but Jenkins is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Minnie seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Jenkins is holding on tight.

Minnie goes for an armbar but Jenkins turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jenkins.

Minnie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Minnie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jenkins's guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Bendrick Minnie wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Jenkins wants to clinch up but Minnie keeps it at a distance.
Minnie shoots in but Jenkins avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Minnie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to avoid it but Minnie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jenkins to the ground. Jenkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Minnie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jenkins for as long as he can get away with.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Bendrick Minnie has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Minnie shoots in for a takedown but Jenkins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
