Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Demetriou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Les Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demetriou comes to the cage accompanied by Ocean Avenue. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Demetriou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Les Paul!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Demetriou fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Paul, pushing him back against the cage.
Demetriou breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Demetriou.
Paul misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Demetriou manages to break the clinch.
Demetriou lands with a right hand.
Paul fails with a takedown attempt.
Paul closes the distance and clinches up with Demetriou, looking for a takedown. Paul pushes Demetriou against the cage but Demetriou circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nick Demetriou has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Les Paul.
Demetriou scores with a jab to the head.

Paul is working for takedown but Demetriou is calmly controlling the position for now.
Paul goes for a takedown attempt but Demetriou pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Demetriou cracks Paul with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Demetriou comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Demetriou drops Paul with a right and a left! Demetriou comes rushing in but Paul regains his composure and manages to keep Demetriou in guard.
Paul is rocked!
Demetriou stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paul swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Demetriou sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Paul looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Demetriou has picked Paul up and slammed him! Paul can't keep hold of the triangle and Demetriou manages to pass to side control!
Paul looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Demetriou controls the position.
Paul tries to get back to half guard but can't.
You can see the frustration on Paul's face as Demetriou controls the position.
Paul is looking for a sweep.

Paul manages to get back to half guard.
Paul is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Demetriou pulls his head out easily.
Demetriou passes to side control.
A lull in the action here as Demetriou stalls from top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Paul sneaks back into half guard.
Paul gets full guard.

Paul is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Paul looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Demetriou puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Demetriou has managed to clinch.
Demetriou breaks from the clinch.
Demetriou lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Paul backs up against the cage.
Paul will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A jab lands there for Demetriou.
Les Paul is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Demetriou works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Paul is still on wobbly legs! Can Demetriou finish him?
Paul takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Paul shoots in but Demetriou avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Paul seems to have recovered his senses.
Paul is trying desperately to land a takedown but Demetriou is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Paul.
Demetriou lands a nice looking body shot.
Paul is breathing heavily.

Demetriou rushes Paul and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Paul tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Demetriou smiles and moves away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Demetriou rushes Paul and presses him up against the cage.
Paul misses with a short punch on the inside.
Demetriou breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Demetriou throws out a powerful jab.
Demetriou sizes up Paul with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Demetriou lands a nice hook to Paul's body. Paul takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Paul has a takedown stuffed.
Demetriou bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Paul's head backwards.
Demetriou scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Demetriou swings for the body but Paul moves out of range.

Paul closes the distance looking to clinch
and Paul takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Demetriou lands a nice hook to Paul's body. Paul takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Paul wants to clinch but Demetriou slips to the side
and Demetriou counters by clinching up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Demetriou gets underhooks to prevent Paul's takedown attempt.
Demetriou breaks from the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Demetriou dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Demetriou lands a jab to the head.
Paul changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Demetriou looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Paul tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Paul working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Demetriou is looking for a sweep.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Paul tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paul has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Paul wants to control but Demetriou is keeping him busy.
Demetriou is trying to improve his position.
Paul trying to control the position but Demetriou is working away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Paul decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Paul shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Demetriou counters with a stiff right hand.
Nice jab there from Demetriou.
Left hook, right uppercut from Demetriou.
Paul should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Demetriou takes the fight into the clinch.
Demetriou breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Paul tries for a takedown but Demetriou circles away easily
and Demetriou counters with a right hand to the body.
Demetriou connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Demetriou closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Paul can't find room to land a body shot as Demetriou controls the action.
Demetriou prevents the takedown attempt.

Demetriou scores with a hook to the body. Paul takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Demetriou counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Les Paul has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Demetriou lunges at Paul with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Paul's hand.
And that's the end of the fight!
Nick Demetriou showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Demetriou, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
