Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Macedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pyle is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bate Pesadão. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macedo is looking to clinch but Pyle is avoiding it.

so Pyle counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Pyle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Macedo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pyle is one step ahead there.
Pyle drops back looking for a leg! Macedo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Macedo manages to kick Pyle off! Pyle jumps back into Macedo's guard.

Pyle seems to be working for a kimura but Macedo defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Macedo wants to improve his position but Pyle is controlling well.
Macedo is refusing to be controlled, as Pyle sits in half guard.
Pyle looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pyle is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Macedo still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Macedo has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Macedo tries to kick Pyle off but Pyle keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Macedo is trying to control Pyle's posture but Pyle avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pyle has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Macedo is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pyle yanks on the arm and Macedo is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pyle.
