Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between General Zod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Langston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zod's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Kneel Before Zod. General Zod has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, General Zod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Howard Langston! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Langston looks to land a combination. Zod sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Zod throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Langston's waist but Langston gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zod off to one side. Zod shoots in looking for a takedown. Langston tries to sprawl out of it but Zod keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Langston manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Decent striking displayed by Langston there. Zod fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for General Zod. That's going to take a lot out of him. Langston throws a nice looking combination but Zod bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Zod fails to land the takedown. The fight stays on the outside here - Zod looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Zod throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Langston's waist but Langston gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zod off to one side. Langston closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Langston lands in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Langston controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Zod keeping moving, preventing Langston from controlling successfully. Zod will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Langston preventing the sweep. Langston working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Zod's head. Langston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Langston pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zod is keeping the position for now. Langston sitting in guard here, content to control. Langston makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Zod looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Langston is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Langston would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Langston looking to pass the guard. Zod not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Zod throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Zod with a poor takedown and Langston counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zod's guard now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zod is pulling down on Langston's head. It's preventing any offense from Langston, at least for the moment. Langston not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zod controls Langston momentarily but Langston frees himself. Zod keeping moving, preventing Langston from controlling successfully. Zod not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Langston wants to stand but Zod is controlling his posture from full guard. Langston wants to control from the top but Zod keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Langston takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like Howard Langston has been cut. Zod darts in trying to clinch and Zod takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Zod gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Langston connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Zod with a lazy takedown attempt and Langston counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zod's guard now. Zod is breathing heavily. Zod is looking to stand up but Langston isn't so interested in that idea. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Langston throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zod works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Zod is working an open guard so Langston takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Howard Langston dominated that round. The cut man is working on Howard Langston's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Zod misses with a takedown and Langston counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zod won't be happy with that. Zod tries to buck Langston off but Langston is having none of it. Langston gets to mount! Zod was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Langston controlling the pace for now. Zod is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round. Howard Langston has got the better of the ground game so far. Zod is desperately trying to improve his position but Langston has a good base and remains in mount. Langston sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Zod regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Zod looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Zod wants to get back to full guard. Langston looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Zod with the active half guard here but Langston passes nicely into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Langston trying to control the action but Zod is working from the bottom. Zod is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Langston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zod. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zod wants to control but Langston postures up. Langston decides to take the fight back to the feet. Zod has his takedown stuffed and Langston counters with a takedown into side control. Zod taking punishment in the form of punches.
Langston remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Zod tries to bench press Langston off him but Langston keeps the position. Langston working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Zod seems a little lost for a moment, as Langston dominates the positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Langston decides to stand back up. Langston steps back and let's Zod get back to his feet. Zod tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Langston counters with a low kick, right behind Zod 's knee. Zod ducks under a wild hook from Langston. Zod tries for a takedown but Langston circles away easily and Langston counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zod's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for General Zod. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Langston pushing down on Zod's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Zod is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Langston's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Langston's back! Zod lands punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Howard Langston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Howard Langston's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Langston feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Langston gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Langston closes the distance and lands a one-two. Langston misses with a head kick.

Zod takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Zod shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Langston counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This has been an exciting period of action! Zod looking for a sweep. Not yet Zod, not yet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zod trying to keep a closed guard but Langston is proving a slippery customer.
Langston postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Zod looking for a guillotine here but Langston defends easily.
Langston lands a couple of elbows. Zod is working an open guard so Langston takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Zod misses with a takedown attempt and Langston counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Langston. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for General Zod. That's going to take a lot out of him. Langston lands a takedown into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Zod misses with a takedown and Langston counters with a takedown into side control. Langston slows the pace down. Zod is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Langston is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Zod can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Zod tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Langston looking to control and managing it successfully. General Zod has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Langston trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Howard Langston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Langston has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
