Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between General Zod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Langston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zod's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Kneel Before Zod. General Zod has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langston looks to land a combination. Zod sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Zod throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Langston's waist but Langston gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zod off to one side.
Zod shoots in looking for a takedown. Langston tries to sprawl out of it but Zod keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Langston manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Langston remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Langston feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
