Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between La Dicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dicks comes to the cage accompanied by Avicii 'Levels' Skrillex Remix. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ken Bates!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bates looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dicks tries to clinch
and Bates counters with a three punch combo that has Dicks backing up. Dicks nods at Bates to acknowledge the strikes.
Dicks closes the distance but Bates moves to the side

and Bates counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bates won't allow Dicks to sweep him here.
Dicks keeping moving, preventing Bates from controlling successfully.

Dicks uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Dicks moves into the clinch successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dicks stops a takedown attempt from Bates.
Bates changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dicks fights it off and pushes away nicely.
La Dicks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Bates.

Dicks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bates blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Bates jumps guard but Dicks stands there with Bates around his waist. Bates gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dicks tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bates avoids it.

Dicks lands an elbow just above Bates 's eye.

Dicks regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Bates.

Bates stands up from Dicks's guard - Bates perhaps looking for a knockout.
Dicks tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bates manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bates throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dicks's waist but Dicks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bates off to one side.

Dicks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bates sprawls well initially but Dicks persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dicks is thwarting Bates's attempts to control the position.

Bates is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dicks pulls his head out easily.

Dicks tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Dicks tries to pass to full mount but Bates defends it.
Dicks seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bates manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dicks has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bates to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Dicks is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bates pulls down on the head and he's put Dicks to sleep! This one is all over!
