Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Fertus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jovon Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Chambers's choice of entrance music: Carmen Gray-Gates of Loneliness. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fertus tries to sprawl but Chambers drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chambers passes to side control.
Fertus is trying to buck Chambers off.
Chambers advances to full mount.
Chambers trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fertus can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chambers fails to advance to Fertus's back.

Chambers is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fertus is surviving well by controlling Chambers's body position as best he can.
Chambers trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Chambers fails to take his opponent's back.
Fertus wants to control but Chambers is having none of it.

Chambers has hold of Fertus's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fertus manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Chambers throwing strikes here but Fertus is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Fertus has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Chambers is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Fertus has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Chambers has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Fertus taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Chambers doesn't care though - he's delighted!
