Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Griffinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Kilbride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Forrest Griffinn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Kilbride! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffinn clinches. Kilbride tries to land a knee to the head but Griffinn blocks with his arms.

Griffinn has Kilbride pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kilbride manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kilbride manages to break the clinch.
Kilbride tries to clinch but Griffinn moves away and Griffinn counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kilbride tries to kick Griffinn off but Griffinn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Griffinn is pressing down on Kilbride's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kilbride is holding on for now. Griffinn is keen to just control but Kilbride is a slippery customer. Griffinn trying to mount his opponent but Kilbride defends it. Griffinn is looking for a kimura here.
Griffinn wants to take a breather but Kilbride is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffinn trying to control the pace. Griffinn prevents Kilbride from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Griffinn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Griffinn feints and as Kilbride raises his hands in defense, Griffinn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kilbride wants to stand up but Griffinn is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffinn wants to control from the top but Kilbride keeps moving. Griffinn drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kilbride looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kilbride looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kilbride! Griffinn is breathing heavily. Kilbride has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffinn circles away from the clinch attempt and Griffinn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Griffinn. Kilbride scores with a knee to the head.

Griffinn has had enough of the clinch but Kilbride keeps him there for the moment. Griffinn jumps guard but Kilbride stands there with Griffinn around his waist. Griffinn gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Forrest Griffinn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kilbride tries to land a knee to the head but Griffinn blocks with his arms.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kilbride avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Forrest Griffinn dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kilbride throws a nice looking combination but Griffinn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kilbride scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kilbride darts in trying to clinch and Griffinn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kilbride won't be happy with that. Griffinn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kilbride keeps working. Kilbride pushes Griffinn away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Griffinn gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Griffinn advances to mount. Kilbride wants to try and get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Griffinn controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffinn looking to control but Kilbride is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kilbride is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kilbride really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffinn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Griffinn has hold of Kilbride's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kilbride manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Griffinn has control of Kilbride's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kilbride regains control of the situation pretty easily.
You get the feeling that Kilbride really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kilbride tries to hold on but Griffinn postures up. Kilbride is controlling an arm, preventing Griffinn from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffinn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kilbride is looking to escape. Griffinn throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kilbride because Griffinn loaded up on that one. Griffinn looking to ground and pound but Kilbride is blocking nicely. Kilbride is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Griffinn working away from the top, dropping strikes. Griffinn thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Griffinn has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kilbride's face.
Griffinn stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kilbride clinches but Griffinn breaks the clinch so Griffinn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Griffinn sitting in guard, not really doing much. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Forrest Griffinn dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Kilbride closes the distance but Griffinn moves to the side and Griffinn counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kilbride! Kilbride wants to get back to his feet.
Griffinn looking to control but Kilbride is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Griffinn fails to move to back control. Griffinn is standing up, even though he is in mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kilbride throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Griffinn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kilbride's guard. Griffinn passes Kilbride's left leg - he's now in half guard. Griffinn is working for a submission of some sort.

Forrest Griffinn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kilbride is trying to maintain the position but Griffinn is very close to passing his half guard. Griffinn is keen to just control but Kilbride is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffinn throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kilbride is in trouble now - Griffinn has advanced to mount! Griffinn goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kilbride turns into him and now he's in Griffinn's guard.
Griffinn is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kilbride trying to stand up but can't free himself from Griffinn's guard. Kilbride is posturing up here but Griffinn has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kilbride tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kilbride has to tap! Slick submission there by Griffinn!
