Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julz The Jackal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a head kick but The Jackal moves out of range.
Jones with a lazy takedown attempt
and The Jackal counters with a straight right hand.
Jones has his takedown stuffed
and The Jackal counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The Jackal prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.
The Jackal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick misses from Jones.
The Jackal lands a big head kick that sends Jones tumbling to the mat! The Jackal takes a step backwards and waves Jones back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jones is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones with a poor takedown
and The Jackal counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Jones out cold! What a finish! The Jackal is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Julz The Jackal!
In his post fight interview, Julz The Jackal started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
