Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Osamu Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Lime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Osamu Kawajiri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonas Lime!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Lime or perhaps it was just good defense by Kawajiri which made him look bad.
Kawajiri stuffs the takedown attempt from Lime. Lime gets slowly back to his feet.

Lime tries to keep at a distance but Kawajiri has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kawajiri stops a takedown attempt from Lime.
Osamu Kawajiri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonas Lime.

Kawajiri breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kawajiri throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lime closes the distance and clinches up with Kawajiri, looking for a takedown. Lime pushes Kawajiri against the cage but Kawajiri circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kawajiri breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Kawajiri counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Kawajiri breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kawajiri feints and as Lime raises his hands in defense, Kawajiri changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kawajiri loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kawajiri wants to pass the guard but Lime is keeping the position.
Kawajiri is looking to stand up but Lime won't let him.
Kawajiri is looking to work some ground and pound but Lime has wrist control.
Lime wants to sweep here but Kawajiri controlling him for the moment.
Kawajiri wants to stand but Lime is controlling his posture from full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kawajiri throws a series of punches but Lime moves out of range.

Lime misses with a takedown attempt - Kawajiri sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kawajiri thows a body kick. Lime tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Kawajiri shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Kawajiri gets to his feet. Lime looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Kawajiri pushes Lime up against the cage in a clinch.
Kawajiri tries to score a body lock takedown but Lime shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Lime tries to pull guard but Kawajiri won't allow it.

Kawajiri manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kawajiri wants to stand and escape but Lime is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kawajiri tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Lime looking to pass the guard.
Kawajiri is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kawajiri had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lime is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kawajiri Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lime's back instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Osamu Kawajiri dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kawajiri fails to land with a series of punches.
Kawajiri tries a head kick but it misses.
Kawajiri tries to bum rush Lime with a series of wild strikes but Lime uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kawajiri fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kawajiri.
Kawajiri throws a right and a left that Lime avoids nicely.
Lime changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kawajiri tries to avoid it but Lime manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kawajiri to the ground. Kawajiri escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kawajiri wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lime fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kawajiri tries to score a body lock takedown but Lime shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kawajiri escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Lime regains half guard.
Kawajiri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lime on the ground.
Lime wants to control but Kawajiri is keeping busy.

Lime controls Kawajiri momentarily but Kawajiri frees himself.
Kawajiri advances to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lime is looking to improve his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lime walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kawajiri checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Nice takedown defense from Kawajiri. No joy for Lime on that attempt.

Kawajiri kicks Lime off and gets back to his feet.
Kawajiri will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kawajiri bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lime is looking to regain half guard here but Kawajiri keeps moving and retains side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Osamu Kawajiri will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Lime looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lime tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kawajiri paws at him with a jab and circles away.

No luck for Kawajiri with that takedown attempt.
Lime will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lime shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kawajiri but Kawajiri pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kawajiri tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Lime gets underhooks to prevent Kawajiri's takedown attempt.

Kawajiri breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kawajiri swats away the attempt to clinch by Lime.
Lime tries to clinch but Kawajiri moves out of range.
Kawajiri misses with a takedown attempt - Lime sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lime has his takedown stuffed

and Kawajiri counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kawajiri tries to pass to full mount but Lime defends it.
Kawajiri wants to stand but Lime has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Kawajiri wants to advance to full mount but Lime doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Kawajiri is looking to work some ground and pound but Lime has wrist control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Osamu Kawajiri showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kawajiri has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
