Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tutankhamun Tutankhaten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, B Ron Trilliss! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good work by Trilliss as he checks the leg kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Trilliss. Trilliss shoots for a double leg takedown but Tutankhaten sprawls well. He's pushed Trilliss's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Trilliss clinches up with Tutankhaten and pushes him back against the cage. Trilliss is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tutankhaten gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Tutankhaten effectively controlling the action here. Tutankhaten is defending well against a takedown attempt. Tutankhamun Tutankhaten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of B Ron Trilliss. Tutankhaten gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Trilliss.
Trilliss jumps guard and drags Tutankhaten to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Tutankhaten sitting in guard, not really doing much. Tutankhaten has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tutankhaten seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Trilliss for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Tutankhamun Tutankhaten wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Excellent takedown into side control there by Trilliss. Tutankhaten on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tutankhaten tries to get out of the position. Tutankhaten tries to buck Trilliss off but Trilliss is having none of it. Trilliss working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Tutankhaten looks to move to half guard but instead Trilliss has passed into mount! Damn! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tutankhaten tries to reverse the position but Trilliss maintains control. Tutankhaten might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trilliss looking to ground and pound but Tutankhaten is blocking nicely. Trilliss landing strikes, looking to finish! Trilliss thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Trilliss thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Trilliss pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Tutankhaten is looking to improve his position but Trilliss isn't that keen on the idea. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Trilliss throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tutankhaten because Trilliss loaded up on that one. Tutankhaten is desperately trying to improve his position but Trilliss has a good base and remains in mount. Trilliss has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Trilliss looking to finish with strikes here!
Trilliss fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trilliss trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Trilliss lands with some strikes. Trilliss throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Trilliss unloads with some shots from mount but Tutankhaten bucks and avoids them well.
Trilliss working for a submission but Tutankhaten is keeping him at bay. Trilliss punching from mount but Tutankhaten doing a good job of avoiding damage. Trilliss is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tutankhaten can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Trilliss cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trilliss prevents Tutankhaten from getting the reversal. Tutankhaten taking shots to the head. Trilliss tries to control but Tutankhaten wriggling away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tutankhaten is looking to improve his position but Trilliss isn't that keen on the idea. Trilliss throwing strikes here but Tutankhaten is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tutankhaten working to try and regain half guard.

B Ron Trilliss dominated that round. That's time! Tutankhaten's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Trilliss uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tutankhaten.
Tutankhaten throws a low kick but it's checked well by Trilliss. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trilliss. Trilliss staying out of range there. Trilliss shoots in looking for a takedown. Tutankhaten tries to sprawl out of it but Trilliss keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tutankhaten manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tutankhaten tries to keep at a distance but Trilliss has taken the fight into the clinch. Tutankhamun Tutankhaten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of B Ron Trilliss. Trilliss letting Tutankhaten take a breather here. Tutankhaten gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Trilliss regains guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trilliss is trying to control the position but Tutankhaten postures up. Tutankhaten is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Trilliss is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tutankhaten is aware though and is defending well. Trilliss escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tutankhaten gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tutankhaten stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trilliss swivels though and keeps the full guard. Trilliss working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tutankhaten doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tutankhaten manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Trilliss is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tutankhaten is aware though and is defending well. Tutankhaten is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trilliss is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tutankhaten defends well. Trilliss is breathing heavily. Trilliss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tutankhaten can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tutankhaten got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trilliss has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tutankhaten has managed to get both his arms back between Trilliss's legs - danger averted. Tutankhaten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trilliss on the ground. Tutankhaten slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tutankhaten has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tutankhamun Tutankhaten just wasn't active enough. Trilliss fails with the takedown. Tutankhaten stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tutankhaten wants it to stay on the feet. Tutankhaten throws a leg kick but Trilliss sees it coming and moves out of range. Trilliss misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Tutankhaten wants to land a leg kick but Trilliss is out of range. Tutankhaten misses with a hook
and Trilliss counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Trilliss is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tutankhaten throws a leg kick and Trilliss counters with an outside leg kick.
Trilliss with a poor takedown and Tutankhaten counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tutankhaten takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tutankhamun Tutankhaten wasn't doing enough on the ground. Tutankhaten closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Tutankhaten trying to mount his opponent but Trilliss defends it. Trilliss looking for submissions off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tutankhaten performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Tutankhaten's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Trilliss's shoulder. That is not cool. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tutankhamun Tutankhaten wasn't doing enough on the ground. Trilliss shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tutankhaten as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tutankhaten shoots in and bounces Trilliss off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tutankhaten is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Trilliss has a loose triangle.
