Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Esponja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana has chosen Los Tigres Del Norte - Jefe De Jefes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bob Esponja has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Esponja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tito Santana! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esponja shoots for a takedown but Santana saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Santana shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Esponja stuffs the takedown. Santana shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Santana was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. An elbow from Santana crashes against the mat.
Esponja is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Santana's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Esponja keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Santana missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Esponja pushes Santana off looking to stand but Santana dives back in and keeps control.

Santana postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Esponja is looking to stand up but Santana isn't so interested in that idea. Santana is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Esponja seems keen to control Santana's posture. Santana is looking to work some ground and pound but Esponja has wrist control. Santana preventing the sweep. Esponja avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Esponja on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Esponja tries to get out of the position. Esponja keeping moving, preventing Santana from controlling successfully. Santana lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Esponja is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Santana lands a couple of elbows. Esponja utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Santana throws a big right hand that misses. Esponja wants to get back to his feet but Santana is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Esponja has momentary wrist control but Santana slips an elbow through the middle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Esponja is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Esponja is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Santana is controlling him. Esponja bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Santana's guard. Santana lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Esponja! Esponja is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Santana prevents Esponja from getting the reversal. Santana looking to finish Esponja with some ground and pound. This is bad for Esponja! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santana unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Esponja wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Santana celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
