Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleb Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cormier comes to the cage accompanied by Grafh - Knock'em Down. The crowd seem to be enjoying Spartan's choice of entrance music: Can't Hold Us - Macklemore. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Spartan defends it nicely.
Spartan thuds a left hand into Cormier's body.
Spartan works the jab nicely.
Cormier shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cormier was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Spartan is not content to let Cormier control the position.
Cormier decides to stand back up. Cormier steps back and let's Spartan get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spartan catches Cormier with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Cormier has managed to clinch.
Cormier is trying to maintain a safe position but Spartan gets an underhook and turns Cormier into the cage.
Spartan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Cormier is breathing heavily.

Cormier tries to pull guard but Spartan forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Spartan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Spartan is trying to break the clinch but Cormier has him pressed against the cage.
Spartan lands a right hand.

Spartan lands a body punch in the clinch.
Spartan tries to break free but Cormier pushes him back against the cage.
Spartan throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Spartan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Still in the clinch, Spartan scores with a nice short uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spartan wants to get back to striking at distance but Cormier won't allow it.
Spartan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cormier backwards.
Still in the clinch, Spartan scores with a nice short uppercut.
Spartan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Spartan softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Cormier is rocked!
Spartan lands with a right to the head.
Oh Cormier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Spartan.
Cormier seems to have got his legs back now.
Spartan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The referee is keeping an eye on Spartan - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Spartan lands with a short shot to the head.
Cormier keeps control of Spartan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Spartan content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Spartan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cormier.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Cormier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cormier tries to break the clinch but Spartan is controlling the position.

Cormier tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Spartan smiles and moves away.
Spartan feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Cormier crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kaleb Spartan!
A very excited looking Kaleb Spartan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
