Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kiko Kaluma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Takashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kiko Kaluma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Takashi! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takashi looks to land a right hand but Kaluma moved out of range. Takashi looks winded! Kaluma takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lee Takashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takashi tries to clinch but Kaluma is having none of it. Kaluma fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Takashi sprawls well initially but Kaluma persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kaluma is keen to just control but Takashi is a slippery customer. Takashi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kaluma not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takashi blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kaluma. Takashi wants to improve his position but Kaluma is controlling well.
Takashi is trying to maintain the position but Kaluma is very close to passing his half guard. Kaluma prevents Takashi from improving his position. Takashi is looking to get back to full guard here but Kaluma has managed to pass to side control instead. Kaluma decides to take the fight back to the feet. Takashi tries to keep at a distance but Kaluma has taken the fight into the clinch. Kaluma is trying to drag Takashi to the mat but Takashi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kaluma has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Takashi regains guard immediately. Kaluma preventing the sweep. Kaluma missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Takashi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takashi is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Kaluma shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kaluma was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Takashi is trying to control Kaluma's posture but Kaluma avoids it. Takashi dodges the ground and pound from Kaluma. Kaluma looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Who's going to make the next move? Takashi is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Takashi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kaluma working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Takashi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kaluma thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kaluma is thwarting Takashi's attempts to control the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kaluma is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Horrible takedown by Kaluma or perhaps it was just good defense by Takashi which made him look bad. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice cross by Takashi.

Takashi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kaluma keeps the fight on the outside. Takashi tries to clinch up but Kaluma circles away and keeps his distance. Takashi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kaluma rather than just go for the knockout. Takashi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kaluma. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kiko Kaluma. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takashi doesn't manage to clinch there - Kaluma circles away.

Kaluma clinches up with Takashi and pushes him back against the cage. Takashi putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Kaluma in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Takashi is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Takashi with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Kaluma closes the distance and pushes Takashi back into the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Takashi lands an elbow that stopped Kaluma in his tracks for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A nice left hand lands by Takashi.

Takashi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kaluma looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lee Takashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Takashi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. This has been an exciting period of action! Kaluma working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kaluma has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kaluma connects with a couple of short punches. Takashi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kaluma manages to get himself to full guard.
Takashi wants to get up but he can't break Kaluma's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lee Takashi seems to be getting the better of the standup. Takashi scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Kaluma shoots in for a takedown but Takashi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Takashi tries to clinch up but Kaluma circles away and keeps his distance. Takashi connects with a body shot. Kaluma shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Takashi as he jumps to the side. Takashi just misses with a punch to the body.
