The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mehoff has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Miller tries to stand but Mehoff is controlling from the bottom.
Mehoff has Miller pulled in close to control his posture.
Miller must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Mehoff.
Miller shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Miller is looking for a kimura but Mehoff is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miller to get the leverage.
Mehoff is trying is best to control the position here.
Mehoff gets full guard.
Mehoff manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miller manages to get himself to full guard.
Miller has his foot on Mehoff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mehoff works his way back into a safe position though.
Mehoff controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Mehoff passes Miller's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Miller is trying to stand up here but Mehoff is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mehoff seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Miller is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
