Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is pennywise- Final chapers. Price has chosen bored as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steven Price!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Price shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bones looking to control.
Price is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Price engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Bones is trying to keep Price in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jonny Bones wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Nice sprawl there from Price as Bones shoots in.
Bones fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Price avoids the head kick by Bones.
Bones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Price avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Bones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bones misses with a jab, cross combination.

Price looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Price has control of an arm but Bones manages to advance to Price's back!

Bones is trying to stick to Price's back but Price is turning into Bones. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bones's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Price.
Price must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bones is breathing heavily.
Price wants to control from the top but Bones keeps moving.
Price won't allow Bones to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Price is looking to stand up but Bones won't let him.
Bones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Price manages to get himself to full guard.
Bones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Price is keeping the position for now.
Price is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Price is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Price content to stall in guard here.

Bones wants to sweep but no luck.
Price is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Steven Price was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bones just misses with a punch to the body.
Bones tries to clinch there but Price circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Price dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bones tries to clinch but Price moves out of range.
Price misses the shot to the body.
Price misses with a body kick.
Bones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Price.
Bones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Price is fending him off so far but Bones persists. Nope, Price circles away and we're back to standing.
Price fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bones avoids it really well and circles away.
Bones throws a body punch but Price moves out of range.

Price manages to break the clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bones. That's going to slow Price down.
Price is breathing heavily.
Price fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jonny Bones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Price.
Price fails to land the takedown.
Jonny Bones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bones misses with a takedown attempt - Price sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bones shoots for a double leg takedown but Price sprawls well. He's pushed Bones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bones wants to clinch.

Bones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Price's guard.

Bones with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Price is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bones tries to free his leg and advance position but Price is retaining full guard.
Bones trying to control but Price is working from the bottom.
Price is trying to keep Bones in close.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Price keeping moving, preventing Bones from controlling successfully.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jonny Bones wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Bones tries for a takedown but Price sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Price keeps the fight on the outside.
Bones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bones blocks a leg kick.
Price will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bones gets a takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Price can do anything to dispel that myth.
Price has a hand on Bones's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bones takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Bones controlling his opponent.
Bones trying to control but Price is having none of it.
Price regains half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bones lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jonny Bones dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Price fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Price throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bones tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Price is in Bones's guard.
Price slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Bones throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Price takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Price doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Price manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Price looking to pass the guard.

Price got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Price has managed to get both his arms back between Bones's legs - danger averted.
Bones trying to control the position.

Price gets to his feet. Bones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Bones throws a sloppy head kick and Price moves out of range easily.
Price keeps the fight on the outside.

Bones has his takedown stuffed

and Price counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Price content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Price is working for a submission of some sort.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bones trying to control but Price postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bones wants to improve his position but Price is controlling well.
Bones is working hard here to advance position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Price connects with a nice short shot to Bones's temple.
Price looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Price is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Bones keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Price is taking a breather. Bones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bones is looking for a sweep. Price is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Price wants to pass to mount but Bones is defending the position.
Bones is refusing to be controlled, as Price sits in half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bones pushes Price off and gets back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steven Price comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Price has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
