The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Nickels or perhaps it was just good defense by Filet which made him look bad.
No joy there for Nickels, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Filet swats away the attempt to clinch by Nickels.
Nickels avoids a punch combination nicely.
No luck for Nickels with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nickels tries to clinch but Filet is having none of it.
Filet cracks Nickels with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nickels looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Filet finish him?
Nickels is rocked!

Filet keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Oh Nickels is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
