Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sal Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Sal Watson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wayne Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Watson.

Kerr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Watson enables Kerr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Watson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Watson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kerr dives into side control.

Watson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kerr manages to get himself to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Watson gets to his feet. Kerr looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Kerr gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Watson regains guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Wayne Kerr will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kerr is trying to drag Watson to the mat but Watson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Watson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Watson parries the strikes from Kerr easily there. Kerr is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Watson to escape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sal Watson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Watson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Watson tries for a takedown but Kerr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kerr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Watson.

and Kerr counters with a nice double leg into side control. Watson won't be happy with that.

Kerr lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Watson down.
Kerr is looking to take a break and control but Watson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

I would just about give that final round to Wayne Kerr.
I think Kerr has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
