Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Bobberson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Takashi! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobberson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Takashi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bobberson is in Takashi's guard. Bobberson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bobberson stands and throws Takashi's legs to the side, diving into side control. Takashi holds on to Bobberson's head and controls the position momentarily. Takashi stops Bobberson from passing to mount. Bobberson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Takashi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bobberson is working hard here to advance position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Takashi wants to hold on but Bobberson pushes him away. Bobberson scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bobberson has control of Takashi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Takashi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bobberson lands a couple of good shots and Takashi has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Takashi defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Takashi covering up well under a series of strikes from Bobberson. Takashi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Takashi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bobberson doesn't seem bothered though. Bobberson ducks under a wild hook from Takashi. Bobberson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Takashi's waist but Takashi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bobberson off to one side. Takashi misses with a lunging right hand
and Bobberson counters with a takedown into side control. Bobberson scores with a couple of short elbows. You can see the frustration on Takashi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bobberson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Takashi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Bobberson drops an elbow to the side of Takashi's head. Takashi moves into full guard.

Takashi misses with a wild body shot. Takashi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Horrible takedown by Bobberson or perhaps it was just good defense by Takashi which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Bobberson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takashi pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Takashi throws a series of punches but Bobberson avoids them all with ease. Bobberson slips a jab and a cross from Takashi.
Takashi lands with a straight right. Bobberson didn't see that one coming. Bobberson scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Bobberson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Bobberson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bobberson shoots in and gets a takedown into Takashi's guard. Takashi controlling the position.

Bobberson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Takashi can do to turn this around? Takashi controls Bobberson momentarily but Bobberson frees himself. Bobberson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Takashi is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Bobberson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Billy Bobberson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bobberson won't allow Takashi to sweep him here. Bobberson with a flurry of punches that miss. Bobberson sitting in guard, not really doing much.

We're going to have a standup here because Billy Bobberson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Takashi looks to score with a jab to the body but Bobberson is just out of range. Bobberson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Takashi as he avoids it easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bobberson is defended easily by Takashi. Takashi displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Takashi throws a hook but Bobberson blocks it. Bobberson avoids the body shot from Takashi.
Lee Takashi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Takashi takes the fight into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Billy Bobberson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bobberson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
