Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Patrycy Szczerbiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Errol Jitani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jitani's choice of entrance music: El Condor Pasa. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrycy Szczerbiec!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Errol Jitani!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczerbiec shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Szczerbiec throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jitani tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Szczerbiec is in Jitani's guard.
Szczerbiec is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Szczerbiec sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jitani's guard.

Szczerbiec's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Szczerbiec has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Patrycy Szczerbiec.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Jitani throws a hook to the side of Szczerbiec's head but Szczerbiec sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Szczerbiec shoots in and gets a takedown into Jitani's guard.
Szczerbiec is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Szczerbiec seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jitani for as long as he can get away with.
