Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rooney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroud's entrance music is Vallenfyre - Iconoclast. A fine choice. Rooney has chosen Belfast Boy as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rooney slips a straight right by Stroud.
Rooney pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rooney takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Stroud stuffs the takedown.
Stroud misses with a two punch combination.
A lazy body kick from Stroud
and Rooney counters with a low kick, right behind Stroud 's knee.
Rooney throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stroud rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rooney counters with a slapping leg kick.
Stroud throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Stroud throws a right hand that Rooney ducks under and follows up with a left that Rooney also avoids with ease.

Rooney manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stroud on his heels. He'll look to pass Stroud's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Stroud has Rooney pulled in close to control his posture.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Rooney takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stroud connects with a nice short shot to Rooney's temple.
Stroud is nestled in close to Rooney, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Stroud is stalling here. Rooney is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Stroud seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rooney has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Stroud wants to improve his position but Rooney is controlling well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Ryan Rooney.
I've got Rooney winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
