Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Horvak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Seamon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horvak comes to the cage accompanied by Shadow Moses - Bring Me The Horizon. Seamon has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Kevin Horvak has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kevin Horvak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Christopher Seamon! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Seamon is defended easily by Horvak. Seamon looks winded! Seamon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Christopher Seamon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horvak looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Seamon! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Horvak creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Horvak decides to stand back up. Horvak steps back and let's Seamon get back to his feet. Horvak throws a series of punches but Seamon moves out of range. Horvak closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Horvak wants to stand up but Seamon is controlling the position.
Horvak takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horvak lands with a punch from half guard. Horvak not doing much here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Kevin Horvak just wasn't active enough. Horvak moves into range and clinches up with Seamon. Horvak really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Horvak pulls Seamon into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Horvak trying to keep a closed guard but Seamon is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kevin Horvak wasn't doing enough on the ground. Horvak rushes Seamon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Horvak fails to pull guard.

Horvak wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seamon trying to control but Horvak is working from the bottom. Horvak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Horvak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kevin Horvak. Horvak lunges at Seamon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Seamon's hand. Horvak darts in and out, connecting with a jab. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Horvak forces Seamon back against the cage and clinches. Horvak slowing the pace effectively. Horvak looking for a takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Horvak dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Horvak closes the distance and pushes Seamon back into the cage. Horvak manages to break the clinch.
Horvak feints and as Seamon raises his hands in defense, Horvak changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Horvak looking to pass the guard. Horvak throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Seamon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kevin Horvak overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Horvak showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Horvak gets to his feet. Seamon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round. Horvak tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Seamon is breathing heavily. Horvak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Seamon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Horvak shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Horvak controlling the pace. Horvak thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horvak sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Seamon defending well though. Horvak is figuring out what he wants to do next. Seamon taking some punishment here, with Horvak in his half guard. Horvak landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Horvak is taking a breather. Seamon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Horvak missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Horvak fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Seamon to the ground. Horvak is now in Seamon's guard. Horvak gets to his feet. Seamon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Horvak feints and as Seamon raises his hands in defense, Horvak changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Horvak slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Horvak gets to his feet - Seamon follows without any prompting. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Horvak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Seamon pinned against the cage. Seamon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Seamon finds it's target. Seamon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Seamon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Horvak counters with a body kick. Horvak throws a head kick that misses. Seamon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Horvak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Horvak shoots in for a takedown but Seamon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Horvak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horvak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seamon tries to avoid it but Horvak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seamon to the ground. Seamon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Horvak gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Horvak is trying to break free. We're going to have a standup here because Kevin Horvak wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Horvak throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Seamon was covering up waiting for the punch and Horvak finishes the takedown easily into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horvak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Seamon being controlled here, momentarily. Horvak sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Seamon's guard. Horvak is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Seamon can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horvak decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Seamon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Horvak.

Horvak gets a takedown into half guard. Horvak stands up from half guard. Horvak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seamon tries to avoid it but Horvak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seamon to the ground. Seamon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Seamon slaps away a takedown attempt from Horvak, before circling back to the center of the mat. Seamon swats away the attempt to clinch by Horvak. Christopher Seamon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Horvak tries to clinch up but Seamon circles away and keeps his distance. A looping hook to the body misses from Horvak. Seamon does a little dance to reset his feet. Horvak misses with a wild combination.
Horvak lands a glancing blow to the side of Seamon's head. Horvak misses with a double jab
and Seamon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horvak wants to control but Seamon is keeping busy.
Horvak is trying to stand up here but Seamon is controlling him well. Seamon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Horvak wants to control but Seamon is keeping busy.
Horvak is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Seamon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Seamon's back! Horvak doesn't have the hooks in and Seamon manages to turn into his guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Seamon landing some decent shots from guard. Kevin Horvak is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Seamon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Horvak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Horvak showed his dominance in that final round. Well Horvak has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
