Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Write (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Write has chosen Dark Knight metal theme as his entrance music. Jay Warner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jay Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Write!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Write closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Warner to the mat! Warner manages to get full guard.

Warner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Warner will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Write throws an elbow that misses. Warner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Write's guard. Nice move by Warner!
Warner throwing strikes from guard but Write blocks nicely.

Write throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Write trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Warner sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Write's guard.
Write on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Warner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Warner is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Write defends it well.

Warner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Write is not content to let Warner control the position.
Write moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Write keeping moving, preventing Warner from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Write is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Warner trying to control but Write is working from the bottom.
Warner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Warner is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Write has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Warner is looking to defend but Write has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Warner! Write pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Warner taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tim Write!
After winning the bout, Tim Write thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
