The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brand scores with a one two! McKnight had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Brand goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
McKnight misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brand.
Brand looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Brand throws a series of punches but McKnight avoids them all with ease.
McKnight lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Brand tries to sprawl but McKnight drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brand is looking to control McKnight's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brand avoid being mounted?

Brand tries to control McKnight's body but McKnight pushes him off. Brand squirms to his side and now McKnight has his back!
Brand tries to escape but McKnight has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
McKnight is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McKnight crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brand - the referee stops the clock and McKnight gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brand. McKnight manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Brand tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McKnight is able to avoid easily.
McKnight pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Brand's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brand fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

McKnight shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

McKnight creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brand sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

McKnight decides to stand back up.
Brand is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McKnight closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brand's guard.
Brand trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Brand wants to get back to his feet but McKnight is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
McKnight decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Brand lands a front kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McKnight closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brand quickly recovers to half guard.
Brand trying to hold on to McKnight's head to control him but McKnight postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brand slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

McKnight wants to control for a moment but Brand uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
McKnight escapes and gets back to his feet.
Brand gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
McKnight looking to sit in guard and control but Brand gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McKnight is looking for a triangle but Brand pushes his legs off easily.

Brand wants to control from the top but McKnight keeps moving.
Brand won't allow McKnight to get back to his feet.

Brand is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Brand is pushing down on McKnight's leg trying to pass to half guard. McKnight is fighting to maintain full guard but Brand has managed to sneak the leg through.
McKnight is in trouble now - Brand has advanced to mount!

McKnight tries to control Brand's body but Brand pushes him off. McKnight squirms to his side and now Brand has his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Brand's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
I really don't envy McKnight right now.
Brand is looking for the choke from the back position but McKnight is controlling his hands well.
Brand biding his time, looking for the opening.

McKnight is trying to break free.
Brand is riding his opponent, not letting McKnight buck him off.
Brand not allowing McKnight to control his hands.
Brand really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for McKnight.
McKnight rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

McKnight throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Brand because McKnight loaded up on that one.

McKnight goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Brand turns into him and now he's in McKnight's guard.

Stefan Brand has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We're going to have a standup here because Stefan Brand wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
McKnight has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McKnight there as he acknowledges the shot.
McKnight walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McKnight closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brand managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by McKnight.
Darren McKnight is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Brand regains half guard.

Darren McKnight comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
