Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spar Bjj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Adebesi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Bjj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Adebesi!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjj slips a jab and a cross from Adebesi.
Adebesi misses with the combination.
Adebesi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Adebesi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Adebesi looks to land a combination but Bjj avoids it well.
Adebesi throws a shot from downtown. Bjj moves away and avoids it.
Adebesi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Left hook, right uppercut from Adebesi.

Bjj gets a double leg takedown into Adebesi's guard.
Adebesi wants to stand and escape but Bjj is having none of it.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bjj with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bjj drops back looking for a leg! Adebesi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Adebesi manages to kick Bjj off! Bjj jumps back into Adebesi's guard.

Bjj passes Adebesi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Bjj is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Adebesi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bjj. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bjj is looking for a kimura but Adebesi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bjj to get the leverage.

Bjj has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bjj is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Adebesi is just riding it out for now. Bjj eventually gives up the hold.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Adebesi throws a right hand that Bjj ducks under and follows up with a left that Bjj also avoids with ease.
A decent looking cross lands there for Adebesi.
Adebesi lands a body shot.
Bjj with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Adebesi to score with a decent uppercut.
Adebesi lands with a straight right. Bjj didn't see that one coming.
Adebesi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bjj doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Adebesi lands a two punch combo.


Bjj is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bjj has a takedown stuffed.

Adebesi drops Bjj with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bjj looks back up at him and smiles so Adebesi waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Bjj is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bjj drops his hands for a split second and Adebesi immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Bjj face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Adebesi follows up with a right hand that knocks Bjj into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Simon Adebesi!
