Wexler comes to the cage accompanied by Go To Sleep - Eminem. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wexler moves in looking to clinch but St pierre pushes him off.
Wexler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from St pierre.
Wexler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
St pierre looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
St pierre throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wexler was covering up waiting for the punch and St pierre finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wexler is looking for a triangle but St pierre pushes his legs off easily.
St pierre wanted to stand there but Wexler had control of the position.
St pierre won't allow Wexler to sweep him here.

Wexler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

St pierre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wexler wants to lay and pray for a moment but St pierre keeps working.

St pierre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wexler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wexler's back!
