Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Hawking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawking kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is One Winged Angel by The Black Mages. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesus Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawking avoids the head kick by Mendes.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mendes holds on and takes a little breather.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hawking got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mendes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hawking has managed to get both his arms back between Mendes's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesus Mendes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Stephen Hawking has been cut.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Mendes as Hawking tries to tie him up.

Hawking has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mendes clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mendes just trying to survive but Hawking is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Hawking doesn't have the hooks in and Mendes manages to turn into his guard.
Mendes looking to sit in guard and control but Hawking gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mendes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hawking is looking to work some ground and pound but Mendes has wrist control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mendes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mendes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mendes is looking to stall here but Hawking recovers full guard.

Mendes takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Hawking cracks Mendes with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hawking immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Mendes is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hawking!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephen Hawking!
Post fight, Stephen Hawking stared into the camera and said 'I am the best lookin, smartest and baddest man on this planet !!! NO ONE CAN DEFEAT ME !!! '.
