The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madman tries to clinch but Miranda is having none of it. Miranda drives through with a takedown into Madman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Miranda is stalling in the full guard. Miranda's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Miranda advances position into side control! Madman tries to bench press Miranda off him but Miranda keeps the position. Madman is trying to control Miranda's posture but Miranda avoids it. Madman takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Miranda avoids the strikes from the bottom by Madman. Madman is trying to buck Miranda off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miranda decides to stand back up. Miranda closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Madman's guard. Madman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miranda defends it easily. Madman is breathing heavily. Miranda stands up from Madman's guard - Miranda perhaps looking for a knockout. Mexican Madman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miranda drives through with a takedown into Madman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Miranda avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Madman has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Miranda is really squeezing tight and eventually Madman passes out! Miranda breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
