Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Kennel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyrie Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyrie Logan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kyrie Logan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kennel shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Logan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Logan trying to control the position.
Kennel really is a fat lump.
Kennel is looking to stand up but Logan won't let him.
Logan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kennel stands and throws Logan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Logan is not content to let Kennel control the position.
Logan tries to bench press Kennel off him but Kennel keeps the position.

Kennel tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Kennel tries to stand but Logan is controlling his head.
Kennel is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
An elbow from Kennel crashes against the mat.

Kennel trying to control the position but Logan is working away.
Logan is looking to reverse the position.

Kennel wants to stand but Logan is controlling his arm.

Logan stops Kennel from passing to mount.

Kennel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Logan keeps working.
Logan is trying to control Kennel's posture but Kennel avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Logan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kennel to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Logan wants to sweep here but Kennel controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kennel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Logan as he avoids it easily.

Kennel drives through and clinches with Logan against the cage.

Kennel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Logan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kennel pinned against the cage. Kennel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kennel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Logan circles away quickly and effectively.

Kennel gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kennel manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kennel holds on and takes a little breather.
Logan looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Logan works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Logan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Kennel actively working from the bottom here.
Logan wants to free his trapped foot but Kennel is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Logan moves nicely into side control.

Logan laying and praying for a moment but Kennel takes advantage and regains half guard.
Kennel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Logan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Logan's back!
Brian Kennel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee is taking a good look at Logan as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Kennel!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kennel doesn't have the hooks in and Logan manages to turn into his guard.
Logan wants to control from the top but Kennel keeps moving.
Kennel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Logan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Logan stands and throws Kennel's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kennel manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Kennel is trying to work for a kimura but Logan is defending well.
Kennel not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Kennel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Logan trying to control but Kennel postures up.
Logan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kennel haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Logan is not content to let Kennel control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Logan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kennel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Logan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kennel is looking to improve his position.
Kennel trying to control but Logan postures up.
Kennel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Logan performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kennel won't allow Logan to pass to mount.

Brian Kennel has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Kennel looking to score a takedown here. Logan is defending well but Kennel drives through and ends up in Logan's guard.

Logan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kennel is working Logan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Kennel wanted to stand there but Logan had control of the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kennel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Logan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Logan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kennel's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
