Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rainer Varvaskoukku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsu Higashikuni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rainer Varvaskoukku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Katsu Higashikuni! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Varvaskoukku decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Varvaskoukku passes to full mount! Higashikuni taking shots to the head. Varvaskoukku lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Higashikuni hang on? Higashikuni is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Varvaskoukku landing punches. Varvaskoukku tries to control but Higashikuni wriggling away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Varvaskoukku raining down shots from the mount! Varvaskoukku cracks Higashikuni with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Higashikuni is rocked! Higashikuni slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Higashikuni is still in real trouble! Can Varvaskoukku finish him? Higashikuni is pressing down on Varvaskoukku's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Higashikuni seems to have recovered his senses. Varvaskoukku trying to control the position from guard on top but Higashikuni is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Varvaskoukku is looking to work some ground and pound but Higashikuni has wrist control. Varvaskoukku connects with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Higashikuni looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Varvaskoukku drops back looking for a leg! Higashikuni is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Higashikuni manages to kick Varvaskoukku off! Varvaskoukku jumps back into Higashikuni's guard. Higashikuni is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Varvaskoukku trying to control but Higashikuni is working from the bottom. Varvaskoukku is sitting in close to Higashikuni's body. Higashikuni has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Varvaskoukku is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Varvaskoukku is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Higashikuni.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Katsu Higashikuni! During a confident post fight interview, Katsu Higashikuni thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
