Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Doom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Massimo Fabbri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Doom could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Massimo Fabbri's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Doom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Massimo Fabbri! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doom jabbing away but nothing is landing. Fabbri lands a leg kick that knocks Doom off balance momentarily. Doom throws a wild body kick that Fabbri sees coming a mile off. Fabbri feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Doom's calf. Fabbri keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fabbri tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doom swats him away and circles back towards the center. An inside leg kick from Fabbri misses. Fabbri wants to clinch. Fabbri tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Doom was well out of range. Poor timing from Fabbri. Fabbri tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Doom paws at him with a jab and circles away. Doom wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Doom circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fabbri tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fabbri connects with a body shot that sends Doom's belly button to the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fabbri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Doom manages to avoid it. Nice combo by Doom! Oh, that's hurt him - Fabbri falls to the canvas and Doom follows him into side control.
It looks like Massimo Fabbri has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Doom in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Fabbri wants to get back to his feet but Doom drags him back down. Doom tries to advance to mount but can't. Doom tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fabbri tries to get back to half guard but can't. Doom goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Fabbri rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Doom's guard! Nice work there by Fabbri! Fabbri loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fabbri throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fabbri looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Doom is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fabbri is looking to work some ground and pound but Doom has wrist control. Doom utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fabbri throws a strike but Doom rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doom postures up in Fabbri's guard and throws a big left but Fabbri blocks it. Doom scoring with punches to the head and body. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Doom makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Fabbri looking to control.
Fabbri is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Doom throwing strikes but missing. Fabbri wants to sweep here but Doom controlling him for the moment. Fabbri not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fabbri wants to stand and escape but Doom is having none of it. Fabbri utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Doom with a flurry of punches that miss. Doom stops Fabbri from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doom works over Fabbri with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Doom is pushing down on Fabbri's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fabbri is fighting to maintain full guard but Doom has managed to sneak the leg through. Doom thows a huge punch but Fabbri dodges it nicely.
Doom stops Fabbri from getting back to his feet.
Fabbri taking some punishment here, with Doom in his half guard. Doom throwing shots but Fabbri is blocking nicely. Doom working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Doom not landing any meaningful shots this time. Fabbri is trying to get back to full guard. Doom missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Doom not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Fabbri blocking the ground and pound attempt from Doom. Fabbri pushes Doom off and gets back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Some wild striking there from Doom.
Massimo Fabbri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fabbri misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Doom dominated that round. The cut man is working on Massimo Fabbri's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Doom closes the distance and clinches. Fabbri has a couple of punches blocked by Doom.
Doom is looking to break free of the clinch but Fabbri has double underhooks. Doom swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Doom has Fabbri pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fabbri manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Doom tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Fabbri looks to throw an elbow but misses. Fabbri scores with an uppercut up the middle. Doom blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Fabbri misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Doom.
Fabbri using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Doom has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Doom escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fabbri throws a head kick that misses and Doom counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fabbri thinking. Doom digs a good body shot into Fabbri's ribs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A nice inside leg kick there by Doom. That's going to slow Fabbri down. Dave Doom is winning the standup battle so far. Fabbri is breathing heavily. Doom throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fabbri was covering up waiting for the punch and Doom finishes the takedown easily into guard. Doom makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fabbri looking for a sweep. Not yet Fabbri, not yet. Doom lands a couple of elbows. Doom stands up over Fabbri, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Doom cracks Fabbri with a solid left hand.
Fabbri is rocked! Doom is in close to Fabbri's body, working some short punches and elbows. Fabbri is still in real trouble! Can Doom finish him? Doom loads up on a big left hand. Fabbri felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Doom looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Fabbri can't hide his disappointment, as Doom celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Doom! During a confident post fight interview, Dave Doom thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
