Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorma Korva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Ascanio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ascanio's choice of entrance music: Otis Taylor / Ten Million Slaves. Dante Ascanio has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ascanio swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Korva is defended easily by Ascanio.
Korva shoots in for a double leg but Ascanio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ascanio misses with a looping left.
Ascanio gets caught flat footed, as Korva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Ascanio lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jorma Korva.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Korva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
