Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Goldstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Ny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Benjamin Goldstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kai Ny!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ny displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Goldstein throws out the jab.
Goldstein takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Goldstein throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ny tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Goldstein is in Ny's guard.
Goldstein working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goldstein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Goldstein stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ny swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ny utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ny moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

and Goldstein holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Ny throws an overhand right that lands on Goldstein's shoulder, as Goldstein tries to avoid the shot.

Kai Ny seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Goldstein shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ny pinned against the ropes. Ny gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ny ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Goldstein moves away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ny throws a right hand that Goldstein ducks under and follows up with a left that Goldstein also avoids with ease.

Ny takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Goldstein looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ny throws a hook but Goldstein avoids it easily.
Ny tries to close the distance and clinch but Goldstein swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ny.
Goldstein takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ny throws the left hand but Goldstein avoids the punch easily.

Ny avoids the body shot from Goldstein.
Goldstein shoots in for a double leg but Ny sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ny takes one to the side of the head.
Goldstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ny moves away.
Goldstein takes a swing at Ny's ribcage but misses.

and Ny makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Nice defenses there by Goldstein.

Ny lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Goldstein is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Goldstein drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Goldstein is looking to work some ground and pound but Ny has wrist control.
Ny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goldstein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Goldstein pushes down on Ny's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Ny trying to control from the bottom.
Ny holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Ny has a hand on Goldstein's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Goldstein takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Goldstein jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ny is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ny and Goldstein has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Goldstein misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Goldstein throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Goldstein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Goldstein tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Goldstein has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ny tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Goldstein wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ny takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

And that's the end of the fight!
Benjamin Goldstein showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ny has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
